1. Act as a platform to discuss problems constraining the growth of industries and make recommendations to the government on policy matters to create an enabling environment for growth and development of industries. 2. Promote, protect and safeguard the interest of manufacturing industries in Bhutan from undue external and internal influences; 3. Formulate policy suggestions and recommendations to the Government for consideration that are geared towards development of industries in particular and private sector in general; 4. Study relevant Acts, Rules, Regulations, Polices related to manufacturing industries and foreign investments and suggest amendments with the aim of helping the growth of industries. 5. Study industrial policies of other countries through participation in forums – domestic, regional and international and derive ideas and methods that would contribute towards growth and development of industries; 6. Send delegations or make representations to local bodies, city corporations and government ministries and departments or such other bodies on behalf of member industries; 7. Ensure a code of conduct for all member industries for promoting good governance, transparency, fair competition and discourage monopolistic practices.
• Create a conducive and vibrant environment in the country that fosters growth of industries, both private and public industries through dialogue with government and other agencies and resolution of issues that otherwise constrains the growth of industries: • To improve and maintain image of the industries within and outside Bhutan through adoption of sound operational environmental and financial practices.
